404 all images on site
-
After enabling Image Accelerator on my site, all the images on the site now return a 404, including those part of the theme. This is the case inside wp-admin and when I visit the Media Library. I’m assuming this is because the browser is trying to download webp images where none exist and I need to make a configuration change to force the original images to be used again.
I’m running Multisite on the latest WordPress v6.6.1 and latest Jetpack v13.7. Other sites on my Multisite network because they didn’t have Jetpack enabled.
I have tried:
- Disabling / re-enabling Image Accelerator and Jetpack / Jetpack Boost (turning it on and off again)
- Entirely removing Jetpack and deleting all the database tables.
- Disabling other plugins, trying a default theme.
- Emptying caches and disabling CDN.
- Newly uploaded images to the Media Library are also missing.
- Images are where they should be via FTP on hosting.
I’m guessing there’s another file somewhere, where the path to the images has been changed, but I’m at a loss as to what Jetpack might have changed.
Any suggestions on how to debug missing images would also be helpful.
