• Not sure when it started, maybe after upgrade to WP 5.4.2. Running 5.4.2 now. Have the same issue on a staging installation with WP 5.5.

Running latest version of Classic Editor.

The issue is that all posts with iframe in the post or embedded imagaes cannot be published or updated. Sometimes it helps to remove the iframe or image but not all the time.

Same with new posts, cannot publish them with iframe och embedded images. Possibly the same with <p>..</p>.

Classic editor is great when it’s working. Tested the standard WordPress editor but it’s a bit hard to get used to.

    Any tip what to do?

  • I have the same issue… even making a simple change to the page title results in a 404 page!

Disabled the plugin and I can save / publish again.

I tried using the JQuery Migrate plugin mentioned in a previous post but this had no effect.

    Thanks

Disappointing that there hasn’t been any response to this issue

I also have the same issue. I love this plugin and hope this can be fixed.
After some investigation using the developer console in Chrome I se it comes an error by just adding a picture from the media library into a page.

    Error message:
    POST https://<domain>/wp-admin/post.php 404
    and
    load-scripts.php?c=0&load[chunk_0]=jquery,utils,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mouse,jquery-ui-sortable,moxiejs,plupload&ver=5.5:4 POST https://<domain>/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 404

Based on this i found a post on stackoverflow that might can help. One user found out that the application ModSecurity treated this POST request as a potential threat: stackoverflow
