403 Permission Denied error for feed

  • I’m getting a 403 Permission Denied error when attempting to access your RSS feed.

    when check in https://www.feedvalidator.org, it shows:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”>
    <html><head>
    <title>403 Forbidden</title>
    </head><body>
    <h1>Forbidden</h1>
    <p>You don’t have permission to access /news/feed
    on this server.<br />
    </p>
    <p>Additionally, a 403 Forbidden
    error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.</p>
    </body></html>

    I reinstall WP, deactivate all plugins, but still not solve this problem.

  • Hello yohame,

    That’s the right link for your feed, but your site is private.

    To use the feed you need to make your site public.

    Go to My Sites > Settings and make sure the General tab is selected.

    Look for the “Site Visibility” section. Click either “Allow search engines to index this site” and save the changes.

    It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.

    I mean the blog which set up by wordpress script, not blog on www.remarpro.com.

    I check dashboard > setting > general, not find “Site Visibility” section. And google already index my site. I not “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”.

    so not sure what’s wrong.
