• Was logged in yesterday and added a plugin. Today i get 403 forbidden error when trying to access the wp login page.

I checked permissions on config file ok. I deleted the .htaccess file. Nothing same error.

I renamed plugin for the latest one i added nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Hi

Have you moved any files via SSH recently? It could be about permissions.

Other than that, I would recommend renaming the entire plugins directory to something else.

And make sure you don’t have other files like index.html or anything like that in there.

And do you get the error on the front end of the website?

actually i was wrong i didn’t add a plugin it was another website. I think the last login to admin was about four days ago.

The front end is working fine. I haven’t moved anything lately. The last login I now remember I only updated plugins. I will try what you suggested and disable all plugins and report back.

    Thanks,

Ok, sounds good. Let me know, and I will suggest next steps.

    Thanks
