    Hello,

I am not able to upload profile/cover photo. I have tried all these things in the checklist:
    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/114-photo-uploads-not-working

However i am able to create and register users. The forbidden error is thrown when trying to upload the images. Everything looks good on the server side and I don’t think there are issue with other plugins.

Could someone please help me to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @vdivya51991,

Can you please check access permissions for the Ultimate member folder, see this article for additional info.

You can also check the error.log file of your server for any errors.

    Regards.

    Hello,
I am having the same problem. We can no longer upload the profile images. It worked fine in the past. We changed nothing in the settings. I deactivated every other plugin and it still doesn’t work. I also checked the article and followed the instructions.
    So far no luck.
Uploading other media to the site works fine. The only problem is with Ultimate Member. I checked the file permissions in Uploads and they are at 755 as are the file permissions for the Ultimate Member folder
Could this problem be caused by the latest UM update? Any help would be appreciated as I have no idea how to fix the problem.

    Hello,

I highly recommend you to check the error.log file of your server. Most likely, it should be due to the permission settings. Try it out and see if your problem gets resolved. Good luck!

    Hello vdivya,
Thanks for getting back to me. As it turns out, the problem was in the Recommended WordPress Security Settings for the domain on our Plesk Dashboard. The recommended security setting for the ” wp content folder” and security for the “wp-includes folder” had to be “rolled back”.
    Best regards,
    Fran

    Hey,

Same problem here, installed “Error Log Monitor” to see my log, but nothing about permission …

Checked my .htaccess, deleted it to see if it was the source of the 403 error but no.

    Got this error :

    POST https://XXX/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/core/lib/upload/um-image-upload.php 403 (Forbidden)

Tried pretty much everything if someone have a clue about this !

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,
I went through everything too before I contacted our host provider. It might have to do with modified security or firewall settings.
In my case, it turned out that I had used the recommended security settings given in Plesk and that had caused the conflict with Ultimate Member. Interestingly, I hadn’t had any problems with any other types of uploads using media.
Our host provider had suggested I look for “mod security” in the error logs and then send him the code messages. There were some errors with ModSecurity: multipart parsing error (whatever that is C;)
Anyway I rolled back the two recommended settings for in Plesk for WP-content folder and wp-includes folder and it did the trick…
Maybe there is a setting in your firewall preventing access?
    Good luck!
