@prabhatdhakal1990 Thanks for reporting. This error could possibly be as as a result of a firewall setup, WordPress security plugin or server permission/settings. At what stage does this notice appear, and are you able to install any other WordPress plugins?

Hello @jamesosborne the error comes as soon as I click to verify the website. Site kit says that they need to add something to the site in order to enable the adsense support. This is during the setup process.

@jamesosborne yes, I am able to install all other pluigins. I am able to install this one too, however cannot have it activated.

@prabhatdhakal1990 Thanks for the update. We may need some more information in order to troubleshooting. Can you let me know of the below:
    1. In relation to the AdSense support notice can you share the full notice or full error message?
    2. Are you using a VPN or other such software, or trying to setup Site Kit and the various modules from a restricted network?
    3. Do you have any other WordPress sites you can check Site Kit setup from?

If you want to share your Site Health information we may be able to identify something which could be impacting setup.

Hello @jamesosborne , I am not using any VPN or any modules.

I currently do not have any WordPress website that I may try now. However I tried to create a blog in WordPress and try, but no luck, WP does not allow in free blog, they wants us to buy a domain first and then try installing the plugin.

I am uploading the .mht file which displays all the steps performed until the error.

@prabhatdhakal1990 thanks for your reply and the detailed steps. We’re thinking it might be related to your web server configuration.

Who is your host and/ or are you able to provide your NGINX configuration file?

This might be something could you inquire with them directly. It would also be good to know if they have any security measures enabled at the server level. Thank you!

Hello @reneesoffice thank you for your response.
The host I am with currently is https://www.freehosting.com

I did try contacting them, however i haven’t heard from them until now.

Could you please advise on how do I get the NGINX configuration file?

@prabhatdhakal1990 thanks for following up! While your host might be the best resource for finding that information on their platform, we can try to investigate on our side while you wait for their response. Could you confirm what plan you are on?

Hi @reneesoffice , thank you for the response, I am currently on the free plan.
since they provide free hosting, I am currently in free plan.

@prabhatdhakal1990 I was able to recreate the error, so we’ll investigate this further.

Could you update to the most recent version of the plugin? The issue might persist with 1.1.4 as in my testing, but it’s good for you to stay up to date.

Also, have you heard anything back from the hosting provider?

    Thank you!

    (@prabhatdhakal1990)

No @reneesoffice I haven’t heard anything from my hosting provider.

I will try updating the plug in to see if I can pass the error.

    Thank you for the update.

@prabhatdhakal1990 quick update that we’re still looking into this and think it has to do with a special configuration at the host. The control panel has gone through some changes and it doesn’t look like the configuration file is readily accessible.

I’ve contact their support as well, so hopefully we can find out what’s affecting the setup. While the issue still persists in my testing, feel free to update the plugin to the most recent version 1.2.0. I will keep this support thread open so we can keep each other updated. Thanks for your patience as we work on getting this resolved!

@prabhatdhakal1990 are you able to provide your Site Health Information?

@prabhatdhakal1990 I can see that you’ve managed to successfully setup Site Kit. Was there any particular configuration you made at host level for setup to complete?

    Thread Starter Prabhat Dhakal

    (@prabhatdhakal1990)

@reneesoffice @jamesosborne I m so sorry, I have been busy with family stuff. I would like to share few information with you and the community, the https://www.freehosting.com seemed to be the issue, I purchased a hosting subscription and was able to complete the setup process.
Also I found the free hosting service do not provide access to most of the important php function.

Overall the free hosting is not something that one should prefer.

Thank you @reneesoffice @jamesosborne for your support.
