Apologies if this post appears twice – not convinced my previous post was successful.

I successfully installed the WP Admin No Show plugin, and used it to restrict subscribers from accessing their WP admin bar.
However it was taking them to their profile page every time they logged in. So I decided that I wanted to direct them to a specific page in the website – so I set a static page for all blacklisted users (having only specified subscribers)

Now ALL users are presented with the 403-forbidden page on login – even ADMIN.

I read on a previous thread that deleting the plugin via FTP would bring the site back to previous functionality. I have done this, and I am still stuck.

The site is still operating normally apart from this – however we urgently need to add content. It is at https://www.wooburnsingers.org.uk

    Please help!!!

    thank you
    Jeremy

    panic over.

I was able to upload a fresh copy of the plugin via FTP and all logins have been restored.

    phew.

I have also been able to configure things as I need – at least for now.

    regards
    Jeremy

Glad to hear you have got things working again. There are a number of things that could cause the 403 issue you described. Perhaps server logs will offer some clue. There’s nothing inherit to the plugin that should cause this, though there could have been some kind of conflict. If you run across this again or can somehow repeat the problem, please let me know. Thank you!
