    Hi all
randomically trying to open my homepage i receive this error:

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

It happens sometimes, apparently without any reasons, after 1 simple refresh the error disappear.

I tried these workaround but the problem is not solved:

    1. Fixing 403 Forbidden Error Caused by a WordPress Plugin ( i’ve deactive all the plugins, the problem still remains)

    2. Fix 403 Forbidden Error Caused by Corrupt .htaccess File ( i’ve removed the .htaccess but the problem still remains)

    My webhosting is https://www.aruba.it

Thanks in advance for your help

    Ciao
    Alessio

Random errors indicate to me that perhaps your web server gets overloaded from time to time and is dumping connections with a 4xx error or there’s some security “feature” that’s deciding there’s too much traffic or the traffic is suspicious and is dumping it.

Is there anything useful in your server logs? Check with your host.

    Ciao Steve
    thanks for your fast reply

Your analysis makes sense to me. Which server logs should i check and ask to my host ?

I can access the error.log from my host pannel control

this is the error line referred to last time the error is occurred:

[Mon Feb 19 17:16:26 2018] [error] [client 81.119.129.97] Directory index forbidden by Options directive: /web/htdocs/www.indieforbunnies.com/home/, referer: https://www.indieforbunnies.com/
