• I installed the plugin and got this error before returning to the plugins page.

    403 Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

I accessed my .htcaccess in cPanel and removed

    from #SITEGUARD_PLUGIN_SETTINGS_START
        to #SITEGUARD_PLUGIN_SETTINGS_END

However that did not fix the error.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi,

    Please check the Apache error_log.
Clue of problem-solving might have been output.

If the problem persists, please delete the siteguard directory(wp-content/plugins/siteguard).

    Hi,

I ran into the same error.

The solution was (after correcting the .htaccess and deleting the directory) to correct the permissions of the .htaccess .Those has been set to 604.

    Regards
    Tom

I have installed your plugin and after about 30 hours I’m still getting login attempts. If the admin login URL was changed then how do they know the URL? Your plugin seems to be doing nothing.

Why when I put in the old admin login url it forwards me to the login page? Isn’t the point to not allow access to the login page?

    Help!

    Hi,

    Please refer to here.

I’m not having a problem logging in. After the plugin install. The old URL forwards me to the new login URL that your plugin created. I can login from the are URL no problem.

Why change the Admin login URL if your plugin is going to forward me to the new one anyway?

How does this stop anyone from getting access to my login page? its forwarding to the new URL anyway.

Rename Login function is intended to protect against mechanical brute force attacks.

To prevent forwarding to the new login URL from the Admin page ( /wp-admin/), please use Admin Page IP Filter function.

I am using this function and still get 100 login attempts a day. As if your plugin is doing nothing. What the problem?

    DG.

If you try out Admin Page IP Filter function, from a different IP address of the terminal (such as smart phones that are not connected Wi-Fi), please try to connect to the management page ( /wp-admin/ ).

Allowed IP address is updated at the timing at which someone is logged in.

Even after 24 hours, no one if that were not logged in, does not remove the IP address.

You do not seem to understand what I’m trying to tell you. I’m not talking about ME logging in. I understand exactly what your saying.

I talking about a hacker / robot that has been trying to login to my clients site. After I installed your plugin and changed the login URL. The robot still seems to know what the login URL is. HOW? if your plugin changed the URL. HOW would a robot hacker know what the login URL is?

    DG.

    ok.
I think finally, your talk could be understood.

We’ll take a look if there are any loopholes.

Rename Login function does not completely hide the URL after the change.
It also exists some loopholes. For those that are currently known, we will fix in a future version.

Sorry can not live up to your expectations, please understand the current specification.
