• I have been maintaining charity website for over 10 years using Frontpage. I am generally satisfied with the appearance of the site but the technology needs updating, especially as we have only one working copy of FP. This problem relates to my experimental WordPress site at https://www.roafan.org
    Following instructions from an online tutorial I created a WP site on localhost on my laptop. I was able to add and edit pages without prob.
    I then created a WP site on one of my online hosts, again add and edit with no prob. I can view this site on my laptop.
    However, when I try to log-in to the online site I get the following:
    “You don’t have permission to access /wp-login.php on this server”
    I have tried a number of other WP sites picked at random and I can get to the log-in screen no prob.
    Other possibly relevant points:
    The laptop has both wamp and xampp installed;
    The host site has separate Joomla and Coppermine directories – both working;
    TIA

    I should have mentioned that the online site was created from my desktop computer, and I can access it with no prob – it is only when I try to log-in from the laptop that this prob arises.
