403 forbidden

    Hi there!

    I’ve just installed the Bulletproof and all of a sudden I’m unable to login to wp-admin/ as I’m getting the 403 forbidden error.

    I have since restored the .htaccess to the original one and renamed all the plugin folders but still no luck… Can you help, please?

    Delete or rename the root htaccess file and the BPS wp-admin htaccess file. You should be able to login if the 403 error is being caused by the root or wp-admin htaccess files. If you are still seeing a 403 error then the 403 error is being caused by something on your server such as Mod Security or some other security protection measure (firewall, etc) used by your web host and you will need to contact your web host for help. Let me know if you can login after deleting the root and wp-admin htaccess files.

    Fantastic! Thank you for the speedy reply! I’d missed the .htaccess in the wp-admin/ folder. I have deleted it and can log in now. Thanks again!
