403 Errors on some downloads

may be my problem has something to do with the one mentioned here:

1. Call my site https://fam-goebel.eu
2. In the menu chose Noten -> Kanons
3. Bring the mouse over “Bona Nox …” (line 2, column 1, do not click!) and notice the link address which is shown: https://fam-goebel.eu/download/187/ It comes from the Download Monitor Plugin.
4. Click this link. You should get the 403 Error. Again: notice the URL: https://fam-goebel.eu.www464.your-server.de/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2021/05/BonaNoxAllesSchweiget.pdf There seems to be a “hidden redirection” to URLs like https://fam-goebel.eu.www464.your-server.de/wp-content… which is a link to build the site before my own URL fam-goebel.eu was avaliable.
5. The two links in line 1 don’t use the Download Monitor plugin but use the direct link to the files. One file was uploadet just by the WordPress Media, the other was uploadet using the Download Monitor plugin. One works, the other leads to the 403 Error. In both cases notice the link address when You bring the mouse over the link without clicking and compare it with the URL shown after click.

Hello @ulrichgoebel ,

Regarding the links, could you please check the Download with the ID 187 and see what is the URL present in the “Downloadable File/Version” section? It should contain the URL to your current website and not the developing server and currently I think it contains the URL to the developing one.

Regarding the two links in line 1, that is the normal behavior as files uploaded with our plugin are sent to a special folder called dlm_uploads that contains a .htaccess with rules to deny access to it, rules added in order for us to prevent unwanted downloads.

I had a look in the WordPress/DML backend and found:

The URL there is https://fam-goebel.eu/download/187/ (as shown while the mouse is over the Download link. It does not contain the URL to the developing server. To be sure You can find a screenshot here: https://cg-2022.org/nc/index.php/s/p3gDRXKLzCGrDH9

By the way: beside the download links You can see the counters which are not zero. Does that mean: once upon a time the DML has been working? In that case: Is it possible that on some update the error araises?

I was referring to the URL of the file, found in the Downloadable File/Version section and not the URL of the download ( can see here the section: https://imgur.com/a/ZBsqBMS ).

well, there is the error, the URL is https://fam-goebel.eu.www464.your-server.de/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads/2021/05/BonaNoxAllesSchweiget.pdf

So it seems to be clear, that
1. my issue is missplaced in this topic here – sorry
2. I have manualy have to edit all these URLs

If there is an alternative way to the second it would be very nice to get any hint. I have dozens of downloads…
