    Hi,
    getting a permanent error:
“error while fetching this site’s frontend HTML: 403 – Forbidden”

    * WP is installed in sub-directory, may this cause the error? Tried PRO version to modify source URL but does not help either.
    * CDN is deactivated
    * security or other plugins deactivated

    Any help apricated. Thanks

Okay, so it’s forbidden for your server to “visit” itself.

OMGF is trying to render your homepage, but it fails, because it’s denied access.

You can try and work around this, by visiting your site yourself, while being logged in as an administrator, and appending ?omgf_optimize=1 to the URL.

    Could you try that?

I have access to website, even with the appendix added.

I may have to notice that there are other section (other tools and websites) running on the same server. Some with the same website prefix. May this cause the error?

Good news is, that the google api request disappeared when having a look at Chromes Developer panel

Okay, so head back into OMGF’s settings screen now, and you should see fonts listed in the Manage Optimized Fonts (soon to be renamed to Optimize Local Fonts) section, correct?

If that’s the case, then OMGF should he working properly from now on.

Correct, the fonts are listed and the Developer Panel does not show the googlefontsapis any more.

But the error message remains ??
Shall I ignore it, as the plugin seems to work fine?

(Guess it’s because the other tools on the same webspace.)

Yes, you can ignore this error. You won’t be able to fetch fonts with Save & Optimize, but using the ?omgf_optimize=1 parameter you fetched the fonts yourself.
