    Hi,

I’ve been using WP 2FA on many sites we manage for clients. Recently, one has got a 403 error when a user who needs 2FA to login tries to login. We have it setup to receive an email – no emails are received and a 403 error appears immediately after entering the username/password.

I have temporarily turned off 2FA for now. But what are the next steps to debug this issue? I’d like to turn it back on and this is the best 2FA plugin I’ve come across, we use it on 50+ sites. Just this one site has this issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thank you for using our plugin @oliveandlake

I am sorry to read about your issue. I have a question; did the plugin ever work on this website? As in you have encountered this issue the first time you installed the plugin on this website or it used to work and this started happening lately?

If it is the latter, most probably the problem is being caused by an update / change on your website. If that is the case, the best way to troubleshoot this is to create a staging website, disable all the plugins and switch to default theme, and start enabling them one by one until you find out which plugin is causing the issue, or if it is the theme.

Once you find out what is causing the issue / conflict, contact us and we will troubleshoot the issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
