    When I’m logged into my account I have no problem seeing the calendar. However, if I’m logged out, I can see the current month but if I try to click Nov or try to see in Agenda mode or anything, I get this error:

    Something went wrong while fetching events.
    The request status is: 403
    The error thrown was: Forbidden

    My calendar is at https://lovejoyorchestra.com/calendar-3/ The calendar will display but any movement to another view (month, year, agenda, etc.) produces the “Something went wrong … thrown was: Forbidden” on Chrome 46.0.2490.80m and Firefox 38.3.0; Internet Explorer 11 just hangs (never returns anything).

    There are times when logged in that the calendar works fine, but other times (login expiration???) where the calendar starts giving the error.

    A work around (sort of) on Chrome and Firefox is to press reload after receiving the error seemingly pulls up the requested page or view.

    The problem seemed to start on 22-Oct-2015, no other changes to the website have been made.

    Any ideas?

    Do you use a security plugin, iTheme Security or similar?

    No I do not. In fact I’ve deactivated all plug-ins to see if that would fix it and it did not do anything.

    I inspected it with the Inspect Element thing and I got this:

    GET https://grassroots.church/js/skt_script.js 404 (Not Found)
    ping:1 Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App’s settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App’s domains.

    Not sure if it has something to do with it but thought I’d share.

    We have the same error, https://www.christbible.church/events. We ARE using iThemes Security and deactivating it solves the issue. Is there a solution for the plugins to coexist?

    Sure enough, iThemes seems to be the culprit. Disabling iThemes seems to have resolved the issue as a more permanent work around.

    It is not necessary to deactivate the plugin, in the iThemes security settings disable “Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL” option.

    What should I do ben if Ithemes isn’t installed? Thoughts?

    The “Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL” option is what was blocking the plug-in. Enabling iThemes with that option disabled in the Security section fixed the issue.

    There is even a warning that the option can block certain plug-ins.

    @stevenbill please try: Dashboard -> Events -> Theme Options and hit Save Options.

    I have seen the comment re iThemes Security in several topics. I don’t have it installed but I am using Wordfence.

    Same problem as I have seen in a number of places … I have several categories of events in my All in One Events Calendar. When logged in, I can query category but when not logged in I get the same 403 error reported above.

    Tried your suggestion to stevenbill but no joy. Any thoughts…

    Try disabling Wordfence, then check your calendar again. If it operates as normal then it is a safe bet that it is one of the configurations that deals with permissions that is affecting how your calendar is responding. Let me know!

    If necessary, I will try looking up info on WordFence to see if there is anything within their support forums that may provide a workaround for the issue that you are experiencing.
