Trying to install the Google Analytics tracking code on my second website, and a 403 error from Wordfence keeps coming up (A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site).

Plot twist: I don’t even HAVE Wordfence installed on this site, though it is on my other website. So is it recognising me as the same user? And how do I fix the error? The Help section says I should go to “live tracker” and whitelist it there, but I can’t go to live tracker if I don’t even have Wordfence installed!?

Hello @katforsyth and thanks for reaching out to us!

A 403 usually represents a firewall block. Have you tried this in a different browser to see if the same issue happens? Could be a browser cache issue.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks!

I figured it out! It was Wordfence on my other site blocking this! As soon as I whitelisted it, it allowed me to install the code. So strange; I didn’t know it would work across two different sites, even though I’m the same WP user.
