403 error on new user register

    Hi

    I am receiving complaints to my website from people wanting to register. After they fill out the registration form and click submit, instead of seeing a confirmation page they get a 403 error page. The registration is not logged in the pending users page.

    I have confirmed this error using my computer using IE and Google Chrome browsers.
    This occurs on several browsers and on several different computers.

    I un installed and re-installed the plug ins no help…

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Did the Registration form worked before? Did you set up a redirect inside the [wppb-register] shortcode?

    Did you tried to deactivate all other plugins and use a default WordPress theme?

    Did you set up some restrictions regarding wp-login.php?

    I figured out the issue for me… I had added a field whose meta_name was “name”. Changing it seemed to fix the issue.

    Teodor Cosofret, Yes it was working fine, no issues.. The best I can figure out is it happened in the last few weeks.

    I only have 5 basic fields Username, Email, PW, PWConfirm and Name for profile.

    Yes, i deleted and re installed with no effect

    beesbane, i will investigate that… I did not set that up so I dont know

    Hi,

    What field type did you add with the meta name “name” inside Manage Fields?

    Did you tried to deactivate all other plugins and use a default WordPress theme?

    Can you use the [wppb-register] shortcode in another page and test out the Registration? Try to add inside Manage Fields only the username/email and password fields to see if it works.

    Do you have in your browser console (F12) any error notices displayed?
