Hi guys, good morning, hope you are well…

I’m having problems with my website, which I restored after renewing my WordPress plan. The error gives the following message:
401: Jetpack: [unknown_token] It looks like your Jetpack connection is broken. Try disconnecting from WordPress.com then reconnecting.

I looked on the forum and some solutions involve entering the Jetpack dashboard, disconnecting and reconnecting, however, I can’t access the dashboard because of this error, in addition to not being able to edit more posts, create new posts, images break and I can’t move plugins, i.e. basically 80% of the site’s functions are unavailable…

Wordpress plan after restore is showing as “free” instead of “business”. I’ve already tried to contact WordPress via email with the error that is happening but I still haven’t gotten a response.

Could anyone try to help me?

  • Hi @shinreviews,

I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having here. As long as you’re signed in to the correct WordPress.com account, you should be able to access your sites. I’ve just done a quick check on our systems to confirm this.

If you’re still encountering issues, please contact WordPress.com support for more dedicated support. Thanks!

Hi Daniel, thanks for taking care of my problem…
I requested a chargeback on plan renewal, going back to the free plan. The site is working again, but as we know, I lost all paid features…
I don’t understand specifically what happened, as I did the renovation and then tried to restore the site to a date where my portfolio could be displayed there, I believe that doing the restoration after the renovation caused some unknown bug in the JETPACK that lost the connection to the site (I say this because I have gone back to free and the site is back to normal)…

Just in case, I’ll wait for the chargeback on my credit card and try again to renew, but I’m afraid to try to restore the site with the plugins I had and it gives the same problem as before…

Unfortunately it was the choice I made since I can’t stay long with the site without it working…

I’ll keep the thread updated when I try again…hope we can find out what happened…

    Hugs and be well

    Hi @shinreviews

I would still recommend contacting WordPress.com support as Daniel mentioned above. They’ll be able to quickly sort out the issue for you including any payment related problems.
