4.0 Update Doesn't List Any Pages or Posts, etc.

Using the latest update 4.0, both the sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz have been deleted. When going to the example.com/sitemap.xml, it is there, but doesn’t list any of my pages, posts, etc. like it did before. Is there anything that I can look for to debug why it’s not populating anything? I’ve already made sure that they are still checked in the options like they were previously.
