Hi I took the time to solve this problem because I never give up, plugin permission configuration was a problem, my platform works on its own rules, when your plugin was introduced to my platform there was a permission conflict, I made the permission configuration for your plugin and now it works fine.
By the way, my case is not alone.

That’s all I can say, good luck.

why to create a plugin like it does not work for everyone

Plugins are developed on default WordPress. Because it is impossible to test alongside every plugin and every combination of plugins. There are over 30,000 plugins out there, do you expect developers to test them all? Do expect developers to test every combination of different plugins? It would require millions of years to do so, just not a reality.

USP is tested on default WordPress. And it works flawlessly. Once you start adding other plugins, customizing the theme, and so forth, the chance for conflicts increases. This is true for any plugin, not just USP. In general, the more plugins you’ve got going, the higher the chance there will be conflicts. Just the way it is with plugins and software in general.

So when you drop USP into a site with 70+ other plugins, and there is an issue, most people would be cool about it. You know, they would understand that 70 plugins is kind of on the extreme end of things. And so instead of immediately bashing the plugin with a bad review, they would show a little understanding and post for help in the plugin’s Support Forum. At least that way, you give the plugin developer a chance to help and resolve the issue. The plugin is FREE after all, and well-supported for those who bother asking.

Instead of giving the developer a chance to help, you rush immediately to leave some nasty review, saying for example:

This plugin will soon have 50% negative feedback.

I mean, how on earth is that even fair? Maybe if the plugin completely blew up your site running default WordPress, then such a poor review would be understandable. But you’re talking about a site with over 70 other plugins, and you just trash the plugin without giving anyone a chance.

Most developers such as myself spend many hours/years supporting and providing free plugins to the WP community. We don’t ask anything in return, other than the chance to help people who run into issues. Instead, you leave insulting comments such as:

you should probably change your profession

I’ve been helping the WordPress community for over 15 years. I’ve devoted many, many hours to helping people solve all sorts of problems. I spend many hours developing plugins such as USP and share them freely with the WP community. I ask for nothing in return, only that people are fair with reviews and give me the chance to help resolve issues.

    Good day to you.

I understand your frustrations, unfortunately whatever you may say your plugin is causing the problem.

Yeah then you have misunderstood my point. Allow me to clarify.

You say that USP caused some issue or conflict with some other plugin. That may indeed be the case, nobody is arguing otherwise.

The problem is the way in which you chose to respond. Instead of asking for help and giving the developer a chance to help, you rushed to trash the plugin with a one-star review and insults.

Would have loved to help you resolve the issue, if you had asked.

I sent a picture, you can see what is wrong, the links are gone, the pages are working but you can’t access them, do you have a solution?

Before you can find a solution, you need to diagnose the issue. Have you bothered to try any sort of troubleshooting, to determine the source of the conflict?

Sorry to but-in on this discussion but… I have over 60 plugins, USP and USP PRo included, and I suspect that number will only grow as users want more features. But I really wanted to jump-in because both versions work just perfectly and when I needed something more Jeff was able to provide it in the next release. His support has been nothing but excellent!

Thank you, @ricschug. Your input is very much appreciated.
