4.7.4 Media Library Not Loading in Grid View

  • I recently upgraded to 4.7.4 and now my downloads plugin doesn’t work correctly on attaching files to a post, my media library wont work in grid view, and my visual composer plugin isn’t working either to edit my pages. Im not exactly sure what core functionality on the backend of wordpress that drives all of the above, but i feel its all related. Whatever the issue is causing the media library to fail, its causing the other plugins to not function correctly. Everything has been updated , i am stumped. Please help !!! Thank you in advance.

    This site is also in a multisite environment and all users are having the same issue with media library.

    What i have tried so far.
    – Disabled all Plugins
    – Changed theme to original
    – Ran repair and optimize on database
    – Refreshed all WordPress files through ftp
    – Did a reinstall of WordPress through the dashboard
    – Deleted all posts that had attachments to pictures, trying to eliminate any orphaned posts to pic attachments.

    I am seeing this on a brand-new site install. Literally just created a generic test site, no data, no imports, etc. Media Library does not work. After adding this line to my wp-config.php, it magically works. The concerning part is that this adjustment utilizes the dev CSS/JS instead of the “minified” versions (see here).

    define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

    Still digging to see if this is relatively recent to 4.7.4 or if this is something environment (OS) that I’m missing.

    EDIT: To be clear, this WORKS in List View, but fails in Grid View without that snippet added.
    EDIT #2: Try https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/upload.php?mode=list to see if it forces it to load.

    I checked out this thread as you mentioned on my thread. I applied the above with no change. The media library is still broken and I have also realized the plugin breaks the Gravity Forms editor as well.
