4.7.1 Upgrade Another update is currently in progress

    Clicking the automatic update on a site hosted on bluehost shared, I keep getting the message “Another update is currently in progress”. I’ve waited, logged out and back in. No difference.

    I’ve checked the wp_options table and there is no core_update.lock or core_update row.

    Does anyone know if this is a known issue? I’d rather not do a manual upgrade/

  • I tried reinstalling 4.7.1 because I have issues and it showed this message:

    Update package not available.

    Installation Failed

    Both of you:

    Update manually. Download wordpress from www.remarpro.com. Unzip locally and upload all files and directories to your host via FTP.

    I did a manual upgrade and it seems OK. I didn’t enjoy doing it though.
