Literally. Just upgraded and the stoplight icon in the meta box area is HUGE! It’s taking up the full width span of the page!

Check the CSS for this element. Your theme may be doing this

It’s not the theme, something changed on Yoast’s end.

I’m not seeing this, but if you’re sure, post it on https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues

We’re not seeing this on our 20+ news network portals with mix of free/paid versions either.

The oversized icon is a CSS issue. It could be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Seventeen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

This is not really the best advice when we have an actively running e-commerce website here. This issue happened right after updating Yoast, which was the only plugin that needed updating in the queue at the time. This tells me something changed in Yoast that created this issue, regardless if it’s conflicting with the theme or another plugin, this issue started with the latest Yoast update so to flip it around, it’s a conflict with Yoast.

@kaotik you’re really not helping yourself.

Use the code inspector in your browser to check the CSS affecting the width and height of the icon and check the source of this CSS.

Alternatively, capture the code inspector window, so we can have something to look at.

Since this is an admin page, the only other thing you can do is show it to someone with better development skills that you trust.
