    We regularly get a situation where the Sagepay message is contacting authorizing bank but the 3D secure panel does not render, Sagepay then times out due to 15 minutes of inactivity.

    Transaction Summary

    Transaction CANCELLED by Sage Pay after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is normally because the customer closed their browser.

    Any help appreciated.

    The only time I’ve been made aware of an issue with 3DSecure is that customers tend to close the browser thinking that they have placed an order, but what actually happens is SagePay is taking a long time to display the password auth page. This was helped by adding a ‘please wait’ message after the user places the order.

    Are you saying on your web-site it works some of the time?

    Can you reproduce the issue in ‘test’?

    What we have found is that it tends to be a problem with cards issued by non-mainline banks, e.g. Tesco, which appear to use a third party company for 3D secure.

    Here is what SagePay replied when we queried why teh 3D Secure panel was not rendered for a Tesco card customer;

    I can also see that the 3D Secure page is hosted by Arcot.com – https://secure5.arcot.com

    This is a Third Party who provide online 3D Secure hosting services for various Card Issuers, so the issue may be with this 3rd party.

    Whenever we try a test using Natwest Visa or Mastercard, it works 100%.

    Hmm, this is an issue and a big concern.

    Even more reason to consider a SagePay Server solution rather that SagePay Direct.

    Migrated to Customweb SagepayCW solution, worth paying for peace of mind!
