3.9.1 is broke – Visual Editor is not working

Have you tried from another PC as before and when you do does that work too?

As before: the troubleshooting is to determine where the problem is by a process of elimination. Before it appeared that your WordPress installation is fine and works; the problem was on your PC.

Yep, tried from another computer, same results. Example, when I attempt to upload a theme, the upload button doesn’t do anything. I’m going to disable plugins and give it a try, if that fails, I’m done. I already have an install of another blog program that isn’t giving me any fits at all.

oh my gosh, i have had the SAME problem. I swear I am ready to try joomla. its not just the version that is broke. it seems that all the tech support people have lost their minds. Jan Dembowski has just argued with you this who entire post because clearly you are an idiot. I have three blogs to set up for people and the UI is complete FAIL. And there is always some excuse and some bs about how nobody EVER has that problem. I too have windows 8, but wp worked fine before this pos version hit the web. I have looked everywhere for an older version, but it is unavailable in wp. if they want to keep users, they had better get a fix out quick. I wish they would take my advice and just scrap the whole 3.9 all together.

@merchantkitty I’m really sorry you are having a problem with WordPress and as this topic has gone all over the place I’m going to close it with a couple of points.

First item:

Jan Dembowski has just argued with you this who entire post because clearly you are an idiot.

Argued? Treated him like an idiot? I’m very sorry you feel that way but that simply never happened. At all. Nope. Not once. ??

jdwebb had or has a problem with the Visual Editor and I went to great lengths to try and assist him in this topic. It didn’t work out for him and that’s too bad. I really wanted to read that it worked out but there are limits to what you can accomplish via the forums.

Second item:

Like everyone here I’m a volunteer and I provide support on my own free time. I do it because I want to and it’s cool to help strangers that way. Everyone here is a volunteer including yourself.

Just as I am sure you do, I’d appreciate it if you’d give me and other volunteers the benefit of the doubt and NOT cast aspersions at other volunteers. It’s not very nice and wont really inspire others to assist you.
