3.9 lightboxes failings

  • Home page widgets working on Twenty Fourteen “Responsive” Theme.
    Click on any widget and get new Lightbox to show. Same three widgets do not work.
    Am I right in saying that you can only close Lightbox to return to Home page and click on one of the other widgets? Or any other link in Lightbox’s throughout the site!

    Same on all Lightbox’s

    Not user friendly at all and a potential source of lost customers from my site.

    New Lightbox? Is that the core slider from Twenty Fourteen, or is it from a plugin?

    Came with the 3.9 upgrade. Never used a slider in my 3.8.3 website Just a photo header. Every link from the menu opens a Lightbox style page with dead links inside.

    Instead of opening a fresh page. Every widget on my homepage opens up a full page style Lightbox and instead of being able to continue afresh, you have to close the Lightbox and click on the next homepage widget or hyperlink to proceed.
    This makes the site look amateurish with an unresolved design flaw.
    Can I get rid of this in the code somewhere and have my pages back to active viewing instead of a dead Lightbox which is ok for photos but not full pages.

    I’ve the same issue. Not any of lightbox plugins are working anymore after the update tot WP 3.9. Before everything was working perfectly. I’m still looking for a solution. Hopefully somebody can help?

    Bad Bad… so many things in my theme have broken with 3.9. As above, the lightbox-style overlays are causing havoc on the site vikingsl.com and my theme’s control panel to turn off the overlays won’t open with 3.9. I have to roll back, and downloaded the .zip, but don’t know how to install… can anyone help?
