3.8.1 Update – Fatal Error Line 62

    I just updated to 3.8.1 and it said it failed:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mbstring_binary_safe_encoding() in /home/content/24/11700824/html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 62

    Does anyone know how to fix this, I have no idea how to get it back to normal and my wordpress interface is now all messed up and my contact emails aren’t working.

    Please assist in simple terms, coding confuses me!
