[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Using CF7 instead of standard comment form

  • Since the new version of CF7 can be inserted into a template, does this mean the form with CAPTCHA can be inserted in place of the standard comment form. If so, would it function in the same manner as the standard comment form does? For example, would submissions show up in WordPress dashboard, will number of comments show in posts, etc.

    No. Contact Form sends emails to a email address. There is no way it could be used as a comment form. You might be able to torque TDO Forms into doing something like that — but why not use the comment function plus a couple comment-related plugins?
