yes, with the Sidebar page installed the default page displays, not the page I defined as ‘home’ using your Static Front Page plugin.

    – is the page slug ‘home’?
    – did you activate the plugin?

home page slug – home, sidebar page pageslug – sidebar. Sidebar 3.1 activated, static front page activated

looks like sidebar is working right. for the home page, i’ve no idea. except that i’ve seen users seeking help with a page slug of ‘home-page’ or with an inactive plugin before; hence my question regarding the two. did you upload the latest version of wp and of the plugin, is something else interacting on your home page loop?

I have de-activated the sidebar plugin, removed the expression from sidebar.php and it is back to normal so it would seem that it is causing Static Frontpage to fail. The only other plugin that may or may not cause a problem is your Recent Posts. Whilst we are on that; how can I reduce the size of the posting date displayed to that of the posting title (but posting date bold). I have looked everywhere in the style.css file and cannot see where to change the date.

added: the latest version of WordPress & the plugin (from your page) is in use.

i’m afraid i cannot reproduce the problem for the home and sidebar problem.

regarding the recent post dates, change the css of:

    #sidebar h3

or drop an edited xslt file into your theme directory to remove it
