I am trying to upload images to my website and the files upload fine but you cannot see the image, the image is blank and once posted to the site it has a question mark in the centre.

When i go to edit the image i can see it and rotate the image but once i make a change and save the changes, i can no longer see the image.

I have recently moved my site to a new domain name so not sure if this may be causing the problem?

    Hope someone can help,

    Thanks

    Try this _
Dashboard, Quick Edit, upload media. Store in media file then for photo in the article chose it from the Media file!!

Meanwhile I hope the other way gets ‘sorted’

Thanks for the help but this still didn’t manage to solve it

    What’s your site URL?

Oops my bad, just seen it above.

Can you go to your server via FTP and note the permissions and owner/group of this file:

    wp-content/uploads/2013/10/13408771737-70x70.jpg

    then paste them in here.

I have just found the file using File Zilla and the permissions are:

    660

I can’t copy and paste because a box just appears asking if i want to change the permissions but this is the value it is set to

    Change the permission to 664

    (@benjlawton)

Okay i have just changed it

And now the image has appeared.

Ah briliant, does this mean every image i upload i need to change the permissions to 664?

Well, what’s important is the last number. Set to 0 meant that the file was unreadable by anyone other than the owner or group. Replacing the 0 with a 4 means that everyone can read it, and therefore see it.

So yes, ensure that all files (images) that you want to be viewable by Joe Public have at least a 4 at the end.

The permission of my pics is 664, folder uploads- 775 and I can’t see any image. This is since yesterday. I didn’t move the site, I don’t have plugins(Except Ozh and Coming soon), I use 2013 theme and all my images are broken.
Is this a new topic or ?
    Thanks ??
