    Hey! Duplicator Team.
Is there something wrong with the newer version of your plugin?
I am using 360 Total Security Antivirus and whenever I download the backup archive, the antivirus detects it as a virus and removed immediately. It is happening from the last version update of your plugin.

    Thank you!

  • Hey @zeeshanx,

Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items on the FAQ that may provide a solution with this issue, this one may get you going.

? ? – A scanner says that a security issue/malware/threat was detected. Is this valid?
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-trouble-070-q

In most cases its a false positive, but if you want to be 100% sure you may check with 360 Total Security team and ask them why their software deems the archive a thread. What line of code or file is saying its malware.

It some rare cases if your site was hacked or compromised and you backed it up then Duplicator backed up that compromised content and your site could have issues.

Let me know if any of them help~

Hi, Cory. Thanks for the reply.
The site isn’t hacked. I tried on a fresh WordPress installation also, it gives the same virus issue.

I would say that something with the total virus 360 is tripping a scan warning for one reason or another. Did you reach out to total 360 to see if they can tell us which file or even line of code is tripping their scanners from the zip file?

    Thanks~

Sounds Good! Looking forward to the response…

    Hi, Cory.
They’re not replying, I think it’s my antivirus issue not your plugin.
Thanks for replying ?? I am marking this as resolved.

Sounds good! Thanks for the update, again as mentioned in the FAQ there is a link to a utility that will run multiple scanner viruses against the file, then you can use the detection count ratio to determine if its really a threat…

    Cheers~
