3.6 update; Fatal error: Call to undefined function nocache_headers() in /users

  • After update to 3.6, now getting:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function nocache_headers() in /users/xxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxx.org/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 20

    Anyway to fix this easily? Any suggestions. Didn’t backup (silly me), primarily becuase I’ve never had an issue with an WP update over the last few years. So didn’t even cross my mind (1000 lashes, I know).

    Have you tried:
    1) Disabling all plugins
    2) Activating a standard WordPress theme (like twentytwelve)
    3) Try re-updating your site.
    4). Download WordPress 3.6 and updating manually?

    Got it up, basically after trial and error using some of the things you mentioned. Multiple plugins and the theme causing problems. Still a few error messages with the theme, I deactivated most of the plugins.

    Remaining issues are (which are visible to any visitor to the site):
    Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method cformsRSS::vars() should not be called statically in /homepages/24/d238234564/htdocs/xNM-old-files/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 173

    Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method cformsRSS::outputRSS() should not be called statically in /homepages/24/d238234564/htdocs/xNM-old-files/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 406

    Alot more error messages at the top of the dashboard. Mostly around something called “WPAlchemy_MetaBox” in the theme. May just remove the file and hope the effect isn’t worse. Messages include:
