3.5 upgrade disabled HTML editing, image posting, hyper links adding etc

    Hi there,

    I’m experiencing the some problems with an 3.5 update, such as I can’t edit the HTML (the text button is just not clickable), add hyper links, add images or add tags. I’m using Arjuna X theme.

    Deactivating plugins didn’t help.

    I’m sure the new version is a lot better, but right now I can’t fully appreciate it. because of these bugs.
    Please help

  • I upgraded my website from 3.4.2 to 3.5 and it broke my Add new post / page editor. You can see it here in this screenshot. Please kindly help. It’s very hard to add posts now.

    I cleared cashe, deactivated all plug-ins but that not helped. By the looks of it I need to re-upload the zip file using the FTP which I never done before. I’m just afraid of making things even worse if I try…
    They also suggest to change the theme to twentytwelve and see if that helps, but I don’t want to change the look of my site.
    Does anybody know if WP are releasing the fix which will sort the things out?
    Or else, what else can be done without using the FTP?

    Same issue here.
    I have added to the wp-config file this code: define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);

    It seems to have solved it.

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false) did actually help my Editing. It worked!!!
    BUT, I still can’t drag and drop the widgets as well as insert hyperlinks in the text

    this has helped. just the hyperlink button not acting right but at list i can code it manually.

    reweb,I just put it on it’s own line at the very end of the config file and it seems to have fixed the HTML toggle problem.

    I entered in file
    wp-config.php
    the code:
    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false)
    before:
    ?>
    and it works!!!

    is it in compliance with the safety standards of wordpress?

    Yes. It’s listed in the forum post you were re-directed to in one of your other topics. It would help us terrifically if you could stop posting all over the place and just stick to the one topic.

    I hope this experience can help many others, there are many who reports for this problems on web.

    Hey all, I have this problem too.

    The script above made it possible to go to the html code, so I guess it will do for now as a temporary solution.

    But it’s so annoying not being able to add media or hyperlinks the usual way.

    I hope they fix it soon!
