• Hello! ??

I have installed W3 Total Cache on my site and since then some Chrome users have been reporting this error: 330 ERR CONTENT DECODING FAILED Most of them said a quick F5 solves the problem.

I did some Google search and apparently this happens because W3 says “yes” to gzip and my website says “no”.

I found this website https://www.gidnetwork.com/tools/gzip-test.php and it says gzip is activated.

    Web page compressed? Yes
    Compression type? gzip
    Size, Markup (bytes) 28,372
    Size, Compressed (bytes) 7,511
    Compression % 73.5

    Response Headers
    status HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    date Sun, 28 Apr 2013
    02:52:54 GMT
    server Apache
    vary Accept-Encoding
    last-modified Thu, 01 Jan 1970
    00:00:00 GMT
    content-encoding gzip
    content-length 7511
    connection close
    content-type text/html

But sometimes, if I keep pressing “check”, it also says, “Sorry, I am unable to decompress the contents of this page. Possible bogus gzip/deflate encoded data.”

Google Adsense is also displaying a warning telling me to activate gzip. I’m lost! x(

I checked wp-admin/options.php and gzipcompression value is set to 1.

I’m very noob when it comes to such things, so maybe I’m missing something obvious?

Could you guys please help me out? Thanks!
