• I just changed my blog address URL and wordpress address haphazardly. At a very inopportune moment when someone actually NEEDS to look at my blog for once. now I can no longer access my blog from my wp-admin.

Can someone please please advise me on what i can do to fix this?

I get this error when i try to log in:
“The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

Wow, if I could send you a virtual beer, coffee, dinner?? Thank you so much!!!!

    “define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://example.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://example.com’);”

    did the trick!

How do you suggest fixing it permanently so it’s not hard coded?

You should be able to change them in admin settings. If not, go in via SQL (phpMyAdmin makes it easy) and follow the directions for “Changing the URL directly in the database” (same link as before).

Once that’s changed, you can nuke it out of your config and happy days are yours again.

I’ll have to get on this phpMyAdmin, which keeps coming up. Thank you for your patience and continued help!!

phpMyAdmin – Best thing that ever happened to SQL. Also ‘Most dangerous thing that ever happened to SQL.’ It’s a great power/great responsibility sort of tool ??

eee…yeah.. That didn’t really work. It surface worked.. It worked for my first home page is all. If I hit next page on my blog nothing is there. If I hit any month on my archives nothing is there.

I went into the phpadmin thing via a plugin and followed the steps they gave me up until here: Delete the folder wp-content/cache (because I can’t find the folder – do I not have one?) So this didn’t work either. Any ideas? So far all I have is my first page of my blog and everything else is this: “Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ”

Nothing in those links are permanently fixing the problem. It only correctly the first home page. The archives, and the next pages do not work, I get the same errors. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks so much.

I can’t even access the front page now:
    Error establishing a database connection

I am REALLY struggling here. ANY help is super appreciated. it’s been TWO DAYS I’ve been staring at things I have no idea how to fix.

AyohAy, I just responded to your email; that new error usually has to do with wp-config file problem or a hosting problem. The other errors – wrong URLs- need to be fixed in the database, i.e.: Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database

AyohAy, please don’t hunt down folks and email them without being asked to (Seriously, it’s just like an unsolicited phone call for unpaid tech support from your parents. We hates it.) Among other things, I have a life, with a family and obligations that take precedence to freebie helping on a weekend.

I went into the phpadmin thing via a plugin and followed the steps they gave me up until here

    What plugin?
