• I have two separate wordpress installations hosted by the same company (Bluehost), and have this problem in Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Since upgrading to 3.1.1, I am no longer able to access many of the wp-admin menu functions. The arrows next to menu items like Post, Appearance, etc no longer respond to clicks. The Insert Image option no longer works as a pop-up and many features inside it are not working.

Widget drag-and-drop functionality is also gone. Clicking widgets only highlights them, and I cannot expand the different widget areas (see aforementioned menu-expansion issue).

Frankly, so much is not working since this install that it is hard to know where to begin troubleshooting it.

    Help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – increasing the memory available to PHP:
