I see I’m not the only one today, but I couldn’t tell which one of the suggestions listed in all the other threads would be right for me.

I can get the little pictures square to click when I want to add a photo. But it no longer pops up into a new window to upload the photos, it takes the whole thing to the picture page. It let me upload photos, but the “insert gallery” button will not let me click on it.

Also, the “tags” box will let me type in tags (even though the title “add new tag” is still visible under it in the box), but after I put the tags into it, the “add” button is not functioning, it won’t actually add the ones I type in.

As far as I can tell my actually website still looks the same when someone visits it – it’s just these problems in admin. (I hope!)

    Thanks for any help!

Clear your browser cache. Really. Then load the page anew.

Whenever WP updates the TinyMCE editor, this problem always appears. Basically, your browser has a bunch of the javascript cached from the previous version of WordPress. So it’s trying to run old code and new code together in some weird way.

You need to clear your browser cache and ensure that all the new code is being used.

Also, verify that you upgraded ALL the files on the server. Reupgrade them if you have to.

    Thanks, Otto.

I tried clearing cache but it didn’t change anything. I did the manual download through my control panel. How can I tell if it upgraded ALL the files?

Oh good grief. I saw on some of the replies that deactivating plug-ins could help some things. I did that, and it actually made the photo insert button start working again, and the “add new tag” is working properly.

Unfortunately, now I have a bigger problem because when I go to the site to view a page or post, it puts the shell of my site up, including my ads and everything, but the section of the page where the posts should be is completely blank, it doesn’t even have the gray background it should have there.

If anyone has anymore suggestions, please help.

Since upgrading to 3.1 the “Edit” option on comments is only visible to users with admin access.

In the past users logged on could see the “Edit” option

The section in “link-template.php” that process the edit request (edit_comment_link) appears to have been changed between WordPress 3.0 and 3.1

If I revert to version 3.0 then the edit link appears.

Not sure why the changes were made but its seems to have caused a problem (for me any way)

Has any one else seen this problem
