  • Nick,

I’ve updated the plugin to the beta version (3.0.9) on my dev site for testing.

I simply deleted the 3.0.8 files and uploaded the beta 3.0.9 files to update the plugin.

Tested OK on my dev site. However, when I viewed my live site that is still running 3.0.8, the test calendar event I posted is showing correctly now. I think this is because it’s early in the day and UTC is still ‘today’ I’ll check back later today when UTC is tomorrow, then I’ll know for sure.

    Thanks again for your contribution.

I installed the beta 3.0.9 plugin but the problem still exists.

I downgraded to 3.0.5 and the dates are now showing correct, so the problem must be in a later version.

    Hi Nick,

I’ve tested your beta and it does not work for me, yet.

Two day whole day event dates are highlighted correctly in gridview and also the “headline” date in list view seems to be the beginning date of the event. However the info of end-date and start-date that I display via short code is incorrect and off by one day, the given output is start-date -1 and end-date – 1.

    Any suggestions?
BTW, this is not a time zone issue, at least I’ve played round with the available options and could not find a setting that works.

    @ole,

What is the exact setting of your WP timezone setting and what is the setting for your calendars timezone in the calendar settings?

    Hi Nick,
both time zone settings are set to Berlin time. Is this wrong?

I was just curious what format you were using in your WordPress settings. I have been informed of an issue where using the “UTC+1” type of setting is not transferring correctly between the setting of the plugin.

    Hi Nick,

I indeed have GMT+01:00 set in the google calendar, which is the German/Berlin time zone and Custom/Berlin in the plugin. How can I adjust it and where exactly is the mistake here?

I have updated the beta version to 3.0.9-beta2 with a few other tests in it. One of them fixes a timezone problem as well.

You can try it out here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3xudrx8q0mcpgk1/simple-calendar-3.0.9-beta2.zip?dl=1

If you do try it please let me know if it fixes the problem for you.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nick,

nothing has changed for me – no matter what time zone option (Berlin or any of the defaults (site, source)) I choose. However, if I switch my google calendar to London time, I get a correct end-date, however the start-date is still start-date – 1. Later today I can try to play around with specific end- and start-times to see whether there is ya systematic timezone effect. For whole day events I cannot see any changes except the one described above.

Hope this helps and thanks for the effort!
    Ole.

    Hi Nick

    Thanks for your continued work…

I have tried the beta 2 but unfortunately my events still display the date as a day before the event. I have tried with a Grouped Calendar and a Google Calendar. I have also tried different timezone combinations – events source, site default and custom. I am using the widget to display the calendar.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hello Nick,
I have updated the beta version to 3.0.9-beta2, with the same issue of the date being one day early still there.

Thanks for the feedback. I still do think it is a timezone issue. SO if you have more information about how you are setting your timezones that may be helpful also.

THanks for your patience while we iron this out.

Oh and also, if this only broke for you recently and was working before could you let me know the last working version that you know of?

    Thanks!
