• I am running a site at https://www.caterertampa.org

This theme is a highly customized version of twenty-ten. When I upgraded to WordPress 3.0.3 my entire site went hay wire. Any help on how to fix this and or prevent this is greatly appreciated.

Also, does this mean that all of my custom “twenty-ten” sites are going to do the same thing when I upgrade? And if so, how can I prevent this?

It might help if you could define what you mean by “haywire”.

Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

By haywire I mean “could you please look at the link I provided for the site”?

If this is the case…can’t I just re-upload my backed up theme / site files to restore it?

Basically in effect re-re-writing it back to the way I want it.

could you please look at the link I provided for the site

I did. I can’t see anything obviously wrong with it. But then I don’t how it looked before the upgrade – hence the request for a definition of “haywire”.

If you customised the Twenty Ten theme and did not keep a backup copy of your changes., I’m afraid they will have been lost.

esmi thanks for your assistance…I had a proper back up and was fortunately able to restore it. Looks like I better get same “child themes” in place for the future though.
