    @reverbparty,

I am having the same issue, can you check in your console if you have this error too :

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘value’ of null ==> wp-seo-post-scraper-302.min.js?ver=3.0.3:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property

    Cheers,

Ditto, I get the following error in inspector:

wp-seo-post-scraper-302.min.js?ver=3.0.3:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘value’ of null

It causes my other plugin to not work because of this it’s breaking other things since I have updated.

I noticed that where it does this, we have intentionally removed the Title field of the post type which I am assuming is causing this because it does not occur on normal post types of Post or Page.

Please look into this immediately as we cannot update things as this causes everything to break.

Thank you so much for a wonderful plugin and continually making it better for all of us.

I can confirm this error and it is breaking several other JavaScript based functionalities.:

wp-seo-post-scraper-302.min.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘value’ of null

    Looking forward to 3.0.4

Unfortunately, 3.0.4 just came out and now the js error is
yoast-seo-302.min.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'appendChild' of null

    ??

BTW this was on the edit media page – don’t think YOAST SEO needs to be running on post type attachment at all. Would be cool if the scripts weren’t even loaded.

I have the same issue – No meta description or title… wtf

is it possible to roll back to previous?

    Gemini23

    (@gemini23)

“Snippet Editor” is Title and Meta Description…

BUT…. there is no character count visible which is a pain…

    GrowMap

    (@growmap)

NOTE Description is not missing – you have to click the pencil and edit the snippit.

There is no character counter, but if you hit a certain number the text turns red. Unfortunately, though, we don’t know what that number is or whether Yoast agrees with advice from others or not.

That said, there are many additional issues with 3.x including 3.0.3. Yes, you can roll back. See this WP Smackdown post on Yoast SEO 3.0 issues 2015/ for known problems and how to roll back to a previous issue.

ooooh. UX in this new version is wonky. It was obvious before what you needed to do. Now it’s all a little confusing, and I use this plugin ALL the time.

    Over thought. KISS.

Thanks GrowMap, I found the description metabox thanks to you. I was about to jump ship! I’ll stick with Yoast a while longer whilst they sort things out ??
