Installed a 301 redirect at the host server, but all the individual pages and paths are going to the homepage. All the pages and posts have the same URL. How do I get the olddomain.com/samepath to go to newdomain.com/samepath? Thanks.

What redirect did you create? What is the URL?

I put in a 301 direct at the webhost level, but it appears it was just for the whole domain. I need it for all pages and posts.

I’d prefer not to give the actual client domain name, but it was olddomain.com/anypageorpost that will go to newdomain.com/anypageorpost. All the page / post paths are the same, just a new domain. I know this can be done in the old domain / site htaccess file. My question is, can it be done in the plugin settings instead?

In the plugin I tried to enter olddomain.com/anypageorpost and map it to /anypageorpost using various settings, but it didn’t work.

    Thanks.

How? What have you tried? It’s hard to suggest solutions when there’s so little information to go on. How didn’t it work?

All the redirects specified in the plugin just go to the homepage. I think that is because the host server had a single 301 redirect sending everything to the homepage. That was not my intention to send everything to the homepage, but I was unaware you needed an entry for every page and post at the host server (Siteground’s site tools) So, I don’t think the plugin had a fighting change to re-route.
