301 redirect doesn’t work

  • Hello everyone,

    I’ve got a problem with this website: https://www.villaiachia.it/. I’ve recently changed website (and all urls) and switched to https and on my google console I saw that I’ve got many 404 errors. Old pages that do not exists anymore and that google can’t reach. I’ve exported all urls and imported them with the plugin “Redirection”. I’ve added for some of them a redirect to the home page but when I try to see if it works, it doesn’t.

    Does anyone know why?

    Could you provide a URL that you are redirecting so that we can see the actual problem?
    Does the URL you redirect show up in the 404-tab when you try to reach that URL?
