• the domains are CNAME’d to the main domain, and virtual host aliases set up in apache’s configuration files.

When accessing https://ib.tax instead of keeping that URL and showing the website, it does a 301 permanent redirect. It did this before installing MultiDomain, and after isntalling MultiDomain.

I have checked .htaccess but cannot see anything there that should be doing the redirect. Also, I imagined that the MD plugin would takeover whatever it is that does those redirects and solve the problem!

I also tried disactivating all plugins, but this made no difference.

    How to stop the redirect?!!

    Thanks for any help!!

    hy,
if there was a redirect before installing the plugin, then the webserver is not prepared correctly. the plugin can only work if – before activating it – your server shows you the main domains home page but keeps your addon-domain in the address bar.

disable the plugin, work on that, and then you can try the plugin. and one hint: stop imaging and begin reading descriptions ??

    thanks Matthias.

I thought it was normal for wordpress to redirect all domains to the one defined in the setup, which is why I thought your plugin would help.
But obviously I’m looking in the wrong place!

Having looked in .htaccess, and tried disabling all plugins, I am not sure where else to look. Maybe some other ubuntu configuration file. I’ll start digging, hope to finish before Christmas!!

    Happy holidays to you too
