• Hundreds of our sites on Multisite are being spammed with Yoast alert “We’ve updated our SEO score algorithm. Click here to recalculate the SEO scores for all posts and pages.” …. closing it does not disable it. It comes up on ever page of our dashboard on our sites and our client sites. Yoast Support hasn’t offered a fix, just a bunch of random suggestions and we’ve reverted to twenty fourteen and disabled all plugins ruling out conflicts …. The plugin has become invasive on our dashboards …. not awesome.

    Hey Diesel12,

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues, I wrote a recap about the 3.0 release and will certainly admit that some things went wrong.

That bug was actually fixed in 3.0.6. If you could try that and report back whether it was fixed for you I’d truly appreciate that!

    Hi @diesel12,

Almost a year has passed since your review. Are you still using our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try.

If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.

    Thanks!

I purchased a handful of your pro seo and woocommerce licenses and to be honest, Yoast SEO is reaching the point of being intolerable in regards to how invasive it is in the dashboard. This creates issues with clients and clutters the dashboard with more and more real estate taken up ….. every new release is a crap shoot to see what how much more space will be taken up and what type of intrusive notifications will occur. I like the plugin less with each release.

    Hi @diesel12,

Can you name or point out some of these notifications for us? We’ve moved most of our notifications to our own dashboard. There you can hide every notification by clicking on the “X” next to the message. They should only appear in your SEO -> Dashboard then, where you don’t have to be if you don’t want to.

In our more recent updates, we’ve added functionality to disable entire parts of the plugin, to allow you to use only what you need. So, if you’re running the latest version, you shouldn’t see a lot of notifications at all. For example, you can disable the Yoast admin bar menu.

We’d love to know your thoughts because we have been trying to make the notifications less intrusive, while at the same time trying to keep their added value.
