Hello, there are three options that I’m not quite sure what they mean or if I should have them enabled or disabled.

I’m going to use the plugin on all of my sites moving forward but right this second for reference I’m working on this one.

    Protect external forms
    On Off
Turn this option on to protect forms on your WordPress that send data to third-part servers (like MailChimp).

Since this is disabled by default I wanted to ask specifically about it? Since it mentions the related service mailchimp, is this also applicable for using aweber optin forms?

And then the one right below it as well:

    Capture buffer
    On Off
This option provides more sophisticated and enhanced protection for external forms. However, it can break other plugins that use the webserver buffer like Ninja Forms, and moreover, it can also cause issues with cache plugins.

Enhanced protection sounds great of course but I do currently use the form builder that you specified ninja forms. Is there some way I can have them work well together? If not, if the protection is that much better I can certainly switch to another form builder, do you have some specific ones that you know work well with your plugin?

    And the third option:

    Use SSL
    On Off
Turn this option on to use encrypted (SSL) connection with servers.

Since its disabled by default…is that because not all sites use ssl yet? If I do have an ssl cert on my site should I always enable this or are there other factors to consider?

    Thanks

    Hello @jhess56.

    Protect external forms.
This option is designed to protect any forms that are processed on an external resource. If aweber optin forms are such, then yes, the option is applicable.

    Capture buffer.
This option changes the way data is intercepted from the form. You should try enabling this option only if the usual external form protection option does not work. Ninja Forms protection works without the Capture buffer option enabled.

    Use SSL.
This option has nothing to do with SSL on your site. This option was previously used to change the type of encryption of data transmitted from our plugin to our Cloud. But now this option has no effect, the data is always transmitted encrypted in one way. Most likely, we will remove this option from the interface soon.
