3 most recent posts not showing on Homepage

    I’ve recently moved my free wordpress.com site to a self hosted site and changed my theme to panoramic. For some reason the most recent 3 posts I have written are not shown on the home-page (which just displays recent posts). If I view if in another theme, I can see them fine. Any ideas?

    Did you see them in admin panel?

    Yes I can see them in the admin panel and can edit the posts. And if I select another theme to view my website, I can see all the posts on the home-page using another theme.

    It might have to do with the server refreshing time or your post rendering but try empting your cashe…

    Are you using the slider? Because my posts also disappear if they are in the category(ies) set to be shown on the slider.

    Thanks for the tips however I cleared the cache, no change – the posts that were missing are also quite old as I hadn’t blogged for a while. I also don’t have a slider added (and plus I have other posts with the same catergories that appear fine). I just created a new post and published it, this also doesn’t appear!

    It could very well be that the posts that aren’t appearing in your blog are assigned to the Slider. If the slider is deactivated it will still continue to filter out any posts in that category to prevent slide posts suddenly appearing in a users blog should they decide to disable the slider at some point.

    You can double check this by navigating to Appearance > Customize > Slider, selecting “Default Slider” and checking what category is assigned to the Slider. If this category is the same category that the “hidden” posts are in then that is more than likely the problem.

    was your issue resolved? I am facing same problem

    I had a similar, but not identical, issue … perhaps this will still help someone.

    A user emailed asking why the latest 2 publications did not appear on the website.
    when I navigated to the site I saw the latest 2 posts as well as all the rest just fine. However, when viewing the site in incognito I was able to see that they weren’t appearing for most people.

    I double checked visibility and status and even updated the post to no avail. Finally went to the template that was synced with the front page and unticked the categories those posts belonged to, saved the template, ticked them on again and saved again. This fixed the issue for me.
