3 issues with widget

Hello,
I just found your widget and it works pretty good and was able to set it up pretty quickly. I am having a few things I need help with though.

1) Thumbnail not showing

I found some instructions in other support requests to make sure I have “Display post featured image?, Try to use the post’s first image if post has no featured image? Use first image only, ignore featured image?” all checked on if I want to pull in the first image in the post to be displayed. None of my posts use a Featured Image but the widget is not grabbing the image to display as a thumbnail. Any suggestions?

2) Change the size of fonts being used for header and p text that’s displayed

I’ve tried putting css changes in a few different areas in my theme like Theme Customizer, styles.css and even making changes in the widgets’ “admin.css” file but after adding css, the fonts being used in the widget on the homepage still doesn’t show any changes.

3) Not respecting checkmark for “Do not list the current post?”

For this, on my page I want to show the last 3 posts with the most recent in the column on the left, and then the previous two post in the right column. In the widget, I have “Do not list the current post?” checked on but on the page, in the right column it’s pulling in the very latest post and the post just before it. I want posts’ #2 and #3 in there instead.
