    Hi,

Great plugin! I played with the trial and found three features (one of them might be considered a bug):

    – Public page. It would be nice if this could be an external site, not just a slug on the same server. I personally think it would be more intuitive to use the slug functionality to refer to the specific location marker (like ?markerid does) and to add an attribute called ‘Link’ that allows for linking to an external or local public page.

    – Permalink. If above is not achievable (I can imagine it would break peoples existing configs) then add a permalink to in the location overview. Asking my users to find a PostID sure works but not very friendly.Just like in standard WP Post screens. https://myserver.com/page/?,arkerid=xxxx for example. User clicks field to copy/paste. Or at a minimum show the postID

    – Map controls auto hidden. I do not think this is technically a bug but it creates UI conflicts in the following scenario: When opening a location marker on the map the zoom in, out, location and search address bar controls end showing on top of the location marker content box. Especially on mobile devices. There is no need for any of these controls when clicking into a location marker so why not hide them until the location is closed again (using close-x) ?

    – Assign a location to multiple types. I think this is currently not possible. You can choose one only.

    Hi @ronald2020,

Thanks for reaching out (and sorry for the long response time as I was on holiday). Here’s my feedback on your ideas:

    1. What you can do (PRO) is add a custom field of type “Link”. So your visitors can attach a public URL to their location. The link will then be shown in the location info bubble. Your other idea of adding a URL attribute ?link seems to be a bit risky as this then could be misused as just a redirection (spam ads). But I will think about it a bit more.
    2. Right. I will try to find a decent way to display the link. That is maybe something like a Share button.
    3. I think it makes sense to display the map controls even when a location is clicked – at least on larger screens. Maybe people want to search for some other place while keeping the previous location open. But I agree on mobile devices. I will try to optimise this with a next update.
    4. Right. I gonna change this to a multiselect.

Thanks for your ideas. They are very good. I will keep you in the loop on progress.

    Best regards,
    Daniel
