3.9.3 breaks widget

  • I’ve updated to 3.9.3 on several sites and it’s breaking the testimonial widget completely on every one.

    The widget no longer displays anything on the front-end.

  • Ah, sorry to hear that @idealynx.

    I only use/tested the Cycle widget, and I had to clear the site/server cache in order to see the fix working for me. Also, I’m running version 3.9.4.

    @erobirds, I too am using 3.9.4. I wonder why it didn’t work for me. I too am using the Cycle widget and I also cleared the site/server cache. Maybe there’s a cache I missing somewhere.

    Do you think there’s a similar fix for the Random widget?

    @idealynx, possibly. I would look at the HTML source to see if it’s adding double-quotes in the main “cycle-slideshow” as well as check in the Console for any script errors to help pinpoint where the issue is.

    Ok, I finally got v3.9.4 to work by using the Easy Testimonial shortcode generator and Custom HTML Widgets.
