The other threads around the latest update say it is safe to update 3.6.5 but how do you update a plugin to the same version ???

    Please release 3.6.6 ASAP

  • Temp fix: Remove the q (first character) from the file /wp-content/plugins/code-snippets/code-snippets.php

We really need a 3.6.6 urgently though.

@kovokswp Thanks and yes, it’s taking too long to release a fix for a bug that prevents access to the backend

The plugin now causes now the following error:

The plugin generates 1 character with unexpected output when activated. If you see “headers already sent” hints …

We need a fix for it please!

The developer already fixed the issue in the WordPress repository!

You can deactivate and delete the plugin. You will then see a warning, that the plugin and it’s data will be erased. However, if you didn’t check “complete uninstall” in the settings, your snippets will show up again, if you reinstall the plugin. (If in doubt, you can also export your snippets in a bulk action. Better safe than sorry.)

Let’s keep it friendly. It’s a great plugin with a free version in the WordPress repository.

@kovokswp Thank you so much for the quick fix!

I’ve released version 3.6.5.1 which should work for those who can’t edit the file or easily reinstall the plugin. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused!
